My Weight Loss Journey: How I Lost my Pregnancy Weight

Hi, friends! My post today is a bit more personal than usual and there’s a good reason for it: I recently hit a huge goal in my life!  All I want to do is shout how proud I am of myself from a rooftop, or a hill, or…. OK, this blog will do. I lost 45 pounds in 9 months, after having gained 45 pounds the 9 months prior. To my delight, I became pregnant in January 2016. I couldn’t wait to experience pregnancy, and everything that came with it. I wanted to be just as beautiful and glamorous as the pregnant actresses I’d seen on magazine covers. I wanted to wear pretty maternity clothes that accentuated my little baby bump. I wanted to nest like crazy because, let’s face it, I like nesting whether I’m pregnant or not. The next 9 months were going to be magical, just like I had imagined…until they weren’t. How to Create The Ultimate Soft & Feminine Bedroom

I am passionate about creating beautiful living spaces. My master retreat - or bedroom - is no exception. In fact, it may be the most important space in my home. I have an almost-8-month-old daughter, and my house has turned into a baby space, pretty much everywhere. There are toys and specially created living areas just for her in every single room. Yes. Every. Single. Room. That is, until now. You see, when we transitioned my daughter from sleeping in our master suite to sleeping in her nursery, I immediately leapt into action and reverted our room back to its former glory. While doing so, I added in some extra lush touches to make it even more soft and feminine. 8 Thrifty & Frugal Decorating Ideas

I am a firm believer that it's possible to create a beautiful home using frugal decorating ideas and tips. You don't have to spend a million dollars on furniture and home decor to achieve swoon-worthy space. By simply implementing cost-effective decorating strategies, you can create your dream home. I love Home Goods just as much as the next person, but you can drastically reduce your decorating costs by not buying new all the time. I get it: Home Goods always has the best statement pieces, most beautiful furniture pieces, and the prettiest décor items, and they're not overly expensive. But, buying new decor does add up, even if you buy at the best-priced stores. To reduce your decorating costs even more by not buying new, you'll have to do a bit more work. DIY projects, for example, are are a great way to achieve a certain look when you don't have the budget to buy new. A great example of me implementing this strategy is when I created Fixer Upper inspired side tables. Joanna Gaines' furniture line, Magnolia Home, offers a beautiful primitive bobbin side for right under $200. I created a similar version for just $27. 10 Habits for Maintaining a Clean Home

A clean home is impossible to maintain, or so I used to think. I have two medium-haired pups who shed like crazy and a 6-month-old baby girl who requires constant care. My husband works a lot while I run this blog and take care of our daughter. Dog hair, dirty puppy prints, laundry, dishes, dust, clutter and general dirt and grime pile up in my home on a daily basis.
